WANTHÖA is rooted in the memory of those who came before us, the Nuer “Biil,” who were great artisans and designers. Inspired by Nuer craftsmanship and the quiet beauty of everyday objects, each piece is created with intention by our artisans and meant to be lived with, kept, and passed on. Wanthoa is a multidisciplinary design studio focused on objects, textiles, and space, contributing cultural design research to the design world.
Intentionality is a love language we believe in wholeheartedly. As a people centered design studio, we understand design as a relationship between people, space, memory and material, past and future.
